What care costs, and when you pay
What makes up the price
- The professional's rate
- Set by each professional and shown on their profile. It does not change between the profile and the booking.
- Platform fee
- A percentage of the professional's rate, covering verification, payments, support and the platform itself. The percentage is not published yet.
- Tax
- Applied at the rate for your province, on the pre-tax total. We remit it; none of it is ours.

This is an example, not a quote. Nobody charges exactly this, and it is here only to show how the parts fit together.

When you are charged
Nothing is charged when you send a request. When a professional accepts, the amount is held on your card. It is taken when the visit is complete. If the professional does not accept, the hold is released and nothing is taken.
When the professional is paid
Earnings are held for 24hours after a visit is completed, so there is time to raise anything that went wrong. After that they are sent to the professional's bank. How long a bank takes varies and we cannot see a transfer once it leaves us.
Cancelling
You can cancel a request before it is accepted at no cost — nothing has been taken. Once a visit is booked, our cancellation terms apply; they are part of the terms of service linked below.
Refunds and disputes
If something went wrong with a visit, raise it from the booking. A refund goes back to the card you paid with. Raising a dispute holds the professional's earnings for that visit while it is looked at — it does not take anything from them, and it does not decide the outcome.
Repeat and recurring visits
A recurring booking is a series of individual visits. Each one is charged when it is completed, at the rate agreed when you booked, and you can cancel the remaining visits without affecting the ones already done.
